Starting at Zurich our route takes us to the romantic town Stein, located on, the river Rhein. From Neuschwanstein Palace we continue alongside the "Romantische Straße" to Augsburg, Dinkelsbühl and Rothenburg to Würzburg. This Journey transports us back to the historical and romantic past of Europe. From Würzburg we follow along the River Rhein and Mosel to reach the medieval town Trier, passing beautiful palaces and castles. We also visit the historical castle of Straßbourg and Colmar, both situated on the "elsässische Weinstraße". We pedal on our bikes through the mostscemc countryside. Our journey ends at Zurich.
Arrival at Zurich Airport. The NOTHEGGER TRAVEL TEAM will welcome you there. By VIP Bus (special trailer for the bicycles) we drive to Schaffhausen. We visit Castle Laufen and the "Rhein Waterfalls". From here we travel on to Stein, located on the River Rhein. We settle in at our romantic hotel in the centre of this medieval town.
After breakfast we do a Sightseeing tour of Stein. From here we pedal on our bikes alongside Lake Bodensee. We have lunch and afterwards visit the "Flower Island" Mainau. From here we return by boat to Stein. Evening meal and overnight stay again at Stein.
In the morning we take the route along Lake Bodensee, crossing the Arlberg Pass (Stop) and through the Lechtal Valley to Tannheim. We pedal the last part of the way to our hotel, which is situated in the midst of gloriously green countryside. The hotel is well equipped with outdoor and indoor swimming pool, sauna, etc …
Today we take the route to Füssen, partly by bus and partly on our bikes. From here we go by horse carriages up to Neuschwanstein Palace. After lunch we travel by bus to Wieskirch, where we will view this unique church. We return on our bikes along Lake Forggensee to our hotel in Fussen.
In the morning we drive by bus to Augsburg where we do some sightseeing (guided tour). We have lunch there and go further on to Dinkelsbuhl. We visit this well-preserved medieval town. Afterwards we continue to Rothenburg o.d.T. We settle in at our romantic hotel in the centre of the Old Town. After dinner we take a short walk alongside the historical Town Walls. From here we get an excellent view of Rothenburg Town.
After breakfast we do some sightseeing of Rothenburg. ln the afternoon we pedal on our bikes on the route along the "Burgenstraße", passing medieval castles and gloriously green countryside. Evening meal and overnight stay again in Rothenburg.
In the morning we travel on to Wurzburg and visit Castle Wurzburg. From here we drive on via Mainz to Rudesheim. We settle in at our castle hotel, overlooking River Rhein and the surrounding vineyards. After dinner we will walk through the famous "Drosselgasse". Afterwards we take the route to Frankfurt and visit the Old City of Frankfurt.
Today we pedal on our bikes alongside the River Rhein, passing magnificent palaces and medieval castles to St. Goarshausen. From here we take the route to the LORELEI. Later on we take a boat trip back to Rudesheim.
After breakfast we travel by bus to Koblenz and from there take the route through the Mosel Valley to Trier. Part of the way we go on our bikes. After lunch and a short visit of the Old City of Trier we drive via the motorway to Strassburg. ln the evening we take a leisurely stroll through the "Petite France" well known for its half-timbered buildings.
In the morning there is a guided sight-seeing tour of Strassburg. ln the afternoon we ride on our bikes on the "Weinstraße" to Colmar. On our way back we stop at a vineyard and will sample the excellent wine of the local area. Later on we return to our hotel in Strassburg.
Today we take a boat trip on the channels of Strassburg. The afternoon is free at your own disposal. Evening meal and overnight stay in Strassburg.
