Starting at Munich, where we take a sightseeing tour on romantic horse carriages. We continue to the Alps, visiting Innsbruck and Salzburg. We will be transported back a few centuries, making a historical round top of Europe's past. Our accommodation varies from a luxurious castle hotel to a mountain hotel (2100m above sea level). We travel to Vienna passing the most beautiful scenery of South Eastern Austria. We visit the most Interesting sights of this city and Will also attend a concert. Flying back home from Vienna Airport.
Arrival at Munich airport. The NOTHEGGER TRAVEL TEAM will welcome you there. By VIP Bus we drive to our hotel in Munich. The afternoon is free at your own disposal. We'll have fun In the evening at an original Bavarian Beer Party.
Today we view the major sights of Munich in a romantic way by horse carriages. We have lunch at a cozy restaurant (typical Bavarian cuisine). In the afternoon we visit Nymphenburg Palace.
In the morning we visit the Old and the New "PINAKOTHEK", where we find master paintings from the 14th - 19th Century. In the afternoon we travel to Castle Schleißheim and to the Lustheim Pavilion. Here we view the impressive picture gallery. In the evening we attend a classical concert at Dachau Palace.
After breakfast we drive to Lake Tegernsee. By train (historical steam railway) we travel alongside the Lake. We have lunch at a typical Bavarian Brewery. In the afternoon we take the route through the "Bavarian Woods" to Lake Achensee. We cross the lake by steam boat. Later on we drive on direction Innsbruck and settle in at our Castle Hotel in Igls. From here we get an excellent panoramic view of Innsbruck and the surrounding Alps. Evening meal and overnight stay in Igls.
Today we go to Innsbruck by nostalgic railway. We view Innsbruck by horse carriages and afterwards take a leisurely stroll through the Old City. We have lunch at the Ottoburg, an excellent restaurant with century old tradition. In the afternoon we view the "Rundgemälde", a large painting showing the Battle of Mount Bergisel (1809). We also visit the Tyrolean Folk Museum. In the evening we ascend by cable car to a cozy mountain hut. Here we have a fun party with typical Tyrolean music and dance. Overnight stay again in Igls.
After breakfast we travel via the "German Alpine Road" to Berchtesgaden. We take a boat trip on Lake Konigsee and visit the small chapel St. Bartholomew. From here we continue to Salzburg. We stay at a good country hotel near Salzburg (indoor swimming pool .. ).
Today we view Mozart's City in a very romantic way by horse carriages. We have lunch at the Sternbräu, a historical Brewery. By nostalgic railway we return to our hotel. In the evening we attend the "Sound of Music" Performance or a Mozart concert.
In the morning we drive to Lake Mondsee. We visit the Dome there (shooting place of the famous film "Sound of Music"). We also visit a museum where we view the prehistoric findings of the former "Pfahlbauten" (Lake Dwellings). From here we continue to Lake Wolfgangsee. We have lunch at the popular White Horse Inn. In the afternoon we travel along Lake "Hallstattersee" to Obertraun. We ascend by cable car to our Mountain Hotel "Krippenstein" (2100 m). From here we get a marvelous view of the whole Dachstein Region. Evening meal at the Panorama Restaurant.
After breakfast we visit the nearby Ice Caves. Afterwards we go by cable car down to the Valley. We cross the romantic Lake Hallstattersee by boat and visit Hallstatt, the oldest Town of Austria. From here we take the diagonal railway to the Salt Mine (thousands of years old). We slide on a chute through the tunnels (great fun!). Later on we return by cable car to our hotel. In th e evening there is a fun party with Folk Music and Dance.
In the morning we descend by cable car to Obertraun. From here we continue to Graz, crossing a small toll road. We settle in at our castle hotel in Graz. ln the afternoon there is a guided sightseeing tour of Graz. Overnight stay at the castle hotel.
Today we take the route along the "South Styrian Weinstral3e". We stop at Gamlitz for lunch. From here we follow the "Schilcherstral3e" to an original Styrian Vine Bar (Heuriger). Here we can sample the excellent wine of this area. Later on we return to our castle hotel in Graz.
After breakfast we leave Graz and drive further on to Eisenstadt. We will visit Esterhazy Palace. Afterwards we go by horse carriages along Lake Neusiedl. Later on we continue to Vienna and settle in at our hotel in the city centre.
Today we do a sight seeing tour of Vienna by nostalgic tramway. We have lunch at a historical Restaurant. In the afternoon we visit the National History Museum and Belvedere Palace. In the evening we attend a Straulß Concert in the Stadtpark.
After breakfast we go by horse carriages to Schönbrunn Palace. The afternoon is free at your own disposal (for shopping, etc.) In the evening we have our Farewell Party at a Heurigen (typical Austrian Vine Bar) on the outskirts of Vienna.
