Across the Alps, from the Sea to a Glacier (00 - 11000 ft.). The journey takes us from Vienna via Italy (Venice – Verona) through Switzerland and alongside the "Romantische Straße" to Rothenburg and Frankfurt (Germany). We visit Interesting cities and towns, pedalling on bikes through the most scenic countryside. Other forms of transport are the luxurious VIP Bus, nostalgic and steam railways, etc. We get to know Culture and Tradition of these three European Countries. You will be thrilled.
Arrival at Vienna airport. The NOTHEGGER TRAVEL TEAM will welcome you there. By VIP Bus (special trailer for the bicycles) we drive to our hotel in Vienna. The afternoon is free at your own disposal. In the evening we drive to the Kahlenberg to enjoy the marvelous view over Vienna City.
In the morning we do a sightseeing tour of Vienna by nostalgic tramway. In the afternoon we travel further on to Graz and stay overnight at a Castle Hotel.
Today we pedal on our bikes along the South Styrian "Weinstrasse". We stop at Gamlitz for lunch. From here we follow the "Schilcherstrasse" to our Heurigen (typical Styrian Vine Bar). Here we sample the excellent wine of this area. Overnight stay in Graz.
After breakfast we drive on via Klagenfurtto the Rauschele See. Here we have lunch at a cozy country pub. Via Tolmezzo and Udine we continue to Treviso. Evening meal and overnight stay in Treviso.
In the morning we ride on our bikes passing beautiful villas to Venice. We do a sightseeing tour of this floating city. In the evening we visit a local venue, where we can enjoy the authentic Italian music. Later on we return to our hotel in Treviso.
After breakfast we drive on via Vicenza (Stop) to Valeggio sui Minico. Here we settle in at our hotel south of Lake Garda.
In the morning we ride on our bikes through picturesque countryside to Solferino. Here the Red Cross was founded. We will visit the Red Cross Museum. After lunch we pedal further on to Sirmione. Here we view the "Befestigungsanlage" (Fortification) at Lake Garda. Afterwards we continue by bus to Verona where we do some sightseeing. Evening meal and overnight stay in Valleggio s.M.
After breakfast we travel on via Bergamo (Stop) to the Lakes Lecco and Como. Lake Como is one of the most beautiful lakes in Italy. We pedal on our bikes alongside this romantic lake in Italy. We pedal on our bikes alongside this romantic lake to Menaggio. Here we have lunch and will have time to take a leisurely stroll around the lake. Then we go furhter on to Lake Luganersee. We settle in at our hotel in Lugano. After dinner there is a possibility to ascend by diagonal railway to the "Monte San Salvatore". From up here you get an excellent panoramic view of the Swiss Mountain and Lake Region.
Today we do an extensive bike tour round Lake Luganersee. We return to our hotel by boat. Evening meal and overnight stay in Lugano.
After breakfast we drive via Bellinzona and climbing "Gotthardpass" to Luzern. We have lunch at the restaurant "Burgerstock" from where we can enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Vierwaldstättersee and Luzern. In the afternoon we visit Luzern. Evening meal and overnight stay in a small mountain village near Luzern.
In the morning we ascend by cabin railway to the Glacier Titlis. From here we get an excellent view of the Swiss Alps. Afterwards we go by rack railway from Engelberg to Stans, and then further on by bus to Flüelen. From here we go by steamboat across Lake Viewaldstiittersee to Alpnachstadt. We dine on the boat. Later on we ascend by rack railway (the steepest in the world) to the Mt. Pilatus. In the evening there is a typical Swiss Party with Fondue and Swiss Folk Music (Alp Horn Players). Overnight stay in Engelberg.
We travel via Zürich to Schaffhausen. We visitthe "Rhein Waterfalls" and have lunch at Castle Laufen. We continue to the medieval town Stein, located on the Rhein, where we do some sightseeing. Afterwards we pedal on our bikes alongside Lake Bodensee. The last part of our way we go by bus to arrive in Füssen. Evening meal and overnight stay here.
After breakfast we ride on our bikes to Neuschwanstein Palace. From here we go by bus to Wieskirch and visit the unique church there. Afterwards we drive on the "Romantische Strasse" via Nordlingen (Stop) and Dinkelsbuhl (Stop) to Rothenburg. We settle in at our romantic hotel in the center of the Old Town. After dinner we take a walk alongside the historical Town Walls. From here we get an excellent view of Rothenburg Town.
In the morning there is a guided sightseeing tour of Rothenburg. In the afternoon we pedal on our bikes along the "Burgenstraße" passing medieval castles and gloriously green countryside. We have our last dinner and farewell party at the unique pub "Zur Hall" . Overnight stay again in Rothenburg.
