This journey takes us from Munich via the Alps through Austria to Hungary. We cross Austria (from the Alps to Vienna) by luxurious VIP Bus, also traveling by historical steam railway, nostalgic tramways, horse carriages, etc. We pedal on our bikes through the most scenic parts, away from traffic and tourists. We explore the Pusta (Hungary) by Gipsy Waggons. Here we find a romantic way of life by open camp-fires, experiencing the borderless freedom of the Gipsies. An unforgettable adventure.
Arrival at Munich Airport. The NOTHEGGER TRAVEL TEAM will welcome you there. By VIP BUS (special trailer for the bicycles) we drive to our hotel in Munich. The afternoon is free at your own disposal.
Today we view Munich City in a different way. We do a special guided tour by bike. We also visit Nymphenburg Palace and the Olympic Grounds. In the evening there is a beer party at a Bavarian Brewery.
After breakfast we cross the Alps to reach Innsbruck. We do a sightseeing tour of Innsbruck on horse carriages. In the afternoon we pedal on our bikes alongside the River Inn to Volders, where we visit the private Castle Friedberg. Our guide is the owner of the castle Mr. van Trapp, a descendant of the famous Trapp Family (Sound of Music). In the evening we have a party in a cozy mountain hut ( 1454 m). Overnight stay near Innsbruck.
Today we drive by bus on the German Alpine Road to Salzburg. We view Mozart's City in a very romantic way by horse carriages. In the evening we attend the Sound of Music performance. Overnight stay at a good country hotel near Salzburg.
In the morning we travel by nostalgic railway to Lambrechtshausen. We continue by bus along Lake Mondsee, Straßwalchen and Linz to the Town Melk. From here we ride on our bikes through the WACHAU REGION alongside the River Danube to Durnstein. Later on we drive by bus to Vienna.
Today we do a sightseeing tour of Vienna by nostalgic tramway. In the afternoon we visit Castle Mirabell and Schönbrunn Palace. In the evening we attend a Strauss Concert at Hübner's in the Schlosspark.
After breakfast we continue to Lake Neusiedl. We take a short trip by horse carriage. Then we ride on our bicycles alongside Lake Neusiedl. Later on we take a ferry to Rust. We'll have lunch at the Lake. In the evening we visit a typical Austrian Vine Bar (Heuriger).
Today we drive to Budapest, passing Lake Plattensee. The afternoon is free at your own disposal. In the evening we will be entertained by lively Gipsy music.
In the morning there is a guided sightseeing tour of Budapest. This afternoon we settle in our Gipsy Waggons and ride out into the Pusta. Evening meal by an open camp-fire. Overnight stay in our waggons.
We travel slowly across the Pusta, discovering a healthier way of life and forgetting our everyday stress. Our bikes are on board. An unforgettable adventure.
